Native TitleVision conditions of use acceptance:

Controlled access to the Tribunal's Native TitleVision (NTV) is being provided as part of our strategy to provide information about native title to stakeholders and clients. The ability to visualise where these matters are and the relationships with other matters in a timely manner has been recognised as a fundamental component of the process.

In providing NTV access to this information we require users to understand what is being provided and we seek acceptance and acknowledgement prior to proceeding.

Importantly, where native title applications, determinations or Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) are shown these normally only represent the geographic extent or external boundary of the matter. Areas within these boundaries such as freehold lands, or other areas excluded from the application, determination or ILUA may only be shown where they can be readily mapped.

To determine whether an area or location is subject to native title will require an interpretation of the native title application, determination or ILUA, and the underlying land tenure information.

This information should not be relied upon in relation to any matters associated with cultural heritage.

The Registrar, the National Native Title Tribunal and its staff, members and agents and the Commonwealth (collectively the Commonwealth) accept no liability and give no undertakings guarantees or warranties concerning the accuracy, completeness or fitness for purpose of the information provided. In return for being allowed to access this information you agree to release and indemnify the Commonwealth and third party data suppliers in respect of all claims, expenses, losses, damages and costs arising directly or indirectly from your use of the information and the use of the information you obtained by any third party.
